Bonjour!

I am your mistress of ceremonies, Enchante`,
a connoisseuse  of   fine arts; music being the foremost.
Music is comparable to  a painting, in that there had to be
inspiration for the artist to capture, and bring life to his canvas.
As you enjoy the various music selections in our midi sampler,
you can hear life . . . feel love . . . experience joy,
and in some instances you may even feel saddened or nostalgic.
When a composer is motivated
to make his inspiration live not only for himself, but for others to enjoy,
then and only then will YOU feel the effects he or she strived to achieve.
I am intrigued
that there is music common to a given land and people,
yet there seems to be familiarity interwoven in many melodies.
Outstanding exceptions would be the music
of Scotland, and the sounds of the Orient. (My opinion only.)
However, both lend beauty to the world of sound.
Music is like a smile or a tear . . . it is universal.
I have integrated the music of France
and other European countries on this page.
Possibly not all have originated in France,
but are easy to identify, acceptable, and
add to the splendor of her entertainment world.
I have focused on Paris for her romantic charm. . .
songs that have been inspired by the atmosphere found in her.

Merci` . . . Enchante`
